bluArc, Canada’s leading provider of Hosted Business Phone and Internet Services, announced today the addition of Larry Poirier to its executive team as Chief Strategy Officer. The new role and management team reorganization comes in conjunction with the company’s aggressive growth strategy.
Mr. Poirier is a seasoned executive with more than 25 years of experience in C-level leadership roles—most recently as President of one of Canada’s largest MSPs: TUC Managed IT Solutions. As well, he was CEO of Nitro IT Business Solutions and a founder of recently acquired N-able Technologies. His new role at bluArc will be to facilitate many of the new sales, marketing, and operations functions across the company, creating a strategy for marketshare acquisition.
“I am extremely happy to be the newest member of the bluArc team,” commented Poirier. “As someone that comes from an MSP and IT background—knowing the challenges of the industry—it is clear that bluArc’s success across Canada has been through the dedication and hard work of the bluArc team. As I begin work in my new role, I look forward to seeing the company grow to the next level: competing with Canada’s largest providers, and continuing to deliver small and medium enterprise businesses a superior communications alternative with hosted business phone and Internet services.”
“The addition of Larry to the executive team comes at the perfect time,” commented bluArc’s President and CEO, Jay Swayze. “To have such a seasoned executive help drive our corporate strategy will ensure our goals of accelerated and substantial growth this coming year. Furthermore, it enables a greater granular focus for our executive team to execute and meet our extremely aggressive 2013 and 2014 goals.”
Mr. Swayze also stated that the company will be pursuing multiple growth strategies including acquisitions and a national channel strategy. The focus on these areas comes as no surprise—bluArc’s growth in the past three years has taken them from a small Ottawa company to Canada’s premiere hosted business phone company.
